Southeast Somatics

Who Is This For

People often find their way to somatic work after trying other approaches and still feeling stuck in patterns that no longer seem to serve them. Many are looking for a gentler path toward greater ease and well-being. Instead, Somatic work offers a way to develop greater awareness of the connections between your body, nervous system, emotions, and everyday experience. Somatic work may be a good fit if you are looking to:

  • develop a deeper awareness of your body and internal experience

  • feel more grounded and connected in everyday life

  • better understand your patterns of stress and overwhelm

  • cultivate greater resilience and flexibility

  • reconnect with your sense of curiosity and possibility

  • explore life transitions or experiences that have left you feeling stuck

  • develop a more supportive relationship with yourself

  • discover ways of moving forward that feel authentic and sustainable

What You Can Expect

At Southeast Somatics, coaching sessions are collaborative, gently paced, and grounded in Somatic Experiencing®. Together, we'll explore greater ease, self-awareness, resilience, and a deeper sense of connection with yourself.

Change doesn't come from forcing it. It begins by creating the space to slow down, become curious about your experience, and discover what supports greater ease and connection.

During a Session

Each session begins with a check-in about what feels most present for you and what you'd like to explore. You might bring a specific situation, a pattern you've noticed, a current life transition, or simply a sense that something feels stuck or out of balance.

Rather than spending the entire session talking, we'll periodically bring attention to your present-moment experience. I may invite you to notice sensations, emotions, movements, impulses, or other changes you observe as we gently explore what's happening in your body. You might be sitting, standing, or moving, depending on what feels comfortable and appropriate for you.

You remain in charge of what you want to explore. There is no expectation that you share anything you're not ready to share, and we'll move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of your experience.

Between Sessions

As you become more aware of your patterns and experiences, we may identify simple observations, questions, or practices that you can continue exploring in your everyday life. These aren't assignments you have to complete—they're opportunities to notice what supports greater awareness, ease, and connection between sessions.

Over Time

There is no prescribed number of sessions or one-size-fits-all timeline. Some people may want support around a particular goal, transition, or period of change for a relatively short time. Others may find value in meeting regularly over a longer period as they continue developing self-awareness and exploring new possibilities.

We'll periodically check in about how our work is feeling for you and whether continuing together feels supportive of your goals.

You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. The work begins simply by creating a space where you can slow down, listen to your experience, and explore what feels supportive at a pace that feels right for you.
